A Tithing Chart ??
Part 2 : Abraham's Voluntary Tithe
Part 3: Jacob’s Tithe
Part 4:The Hidden Truths about Old Testament Tithing
Oh my! What has the Christian world come to? Do you agree that this is the right thing to do in a church? I wonder where this church is at. I am sure this must be an AOG setup.
Is not giving a matter between the believer and his God? What was the intention of the church leadership when this chart was devised? What was it trying to achieve?
What is the effect of this:
1) on the person who sees that he consistently pays, while some others don't?
2) on the person who could not afford to pay consistently, will he feel guilty and inferior?
Is this a scriptural practice, or a secular brainchild - a seed of the devil?
I call this wickedness. But you will be more diplomatic than me. Maybe you can even accept this, because you are pleased with yourself, being able to afford it.. Maybe you don't, but you are too Christiany to speak out - in which case, are you not a hypocrite yourself?
I believe in the New Testament that teaches grace, not law. I believe that the law is good, if intention of the law is applied properly. I believe 2Co 9:7- 9 that says,
Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work: (As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth for ever.
What is the unpleasant truth here? That the god of many churches today is called mammon. They seek the face of mammon by exploiting the name of Jehovah.
Joh 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
