Wickedness At Work

A Tithing Chart ??

Part 1: Freedom from the Law
Part 2 :   Abraham's Voluntary Tithe
Part 3: Jacob’s Tithe
Part 4:The Hidden Truths about Old Testament Tithing

Oh my!  What has the Christian world come to?  Do you agree that this is the right thing to do in a church?  I wonder where this church is at.  I am sure this must be an AOG setup.

Is not giving a matter between the believer and his God?  What was the intention of the church leadership when this chart was devised? What was it trying to achieve?

What is the effect of this:

1) on the person who sees that he consistently pays, while some others don't?
2) on the person who could not afford to pay consistently, will he feel guilty and inferior?

Is this a scriptural practice, or a secular brainchild - a seed of the devil?

I call this wickedness. But you will be more diplomatic than me.  Maybe you can even accept this, because you are pleased with yourself, being able to afford it.. Maybe you don't, but you are too Christiany to speak out - in which case, are you not a hypocrite yourself?

I believe in the New Testament that teaches grace, not law.  I believe that the law is good, if intention of the law is applied properly.  I believe 2Co 9:7- 9 that says,

Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.  And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:  (As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth for ever.

What is the unpleasant truth here? That the god of many churches today is called mammon. They seek the face of mammon by exploiting the name of Jehovah.

Joh 8:32  And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

CORRUPTED MODERN BIBLE VERSIONS - NOBODY CARES

NIV Bible Translated With Opposite Meanings

I am appalled at the lack of fervor for the truth.  I am appalled at the institutionalized church’s failure to sound the alarm.  I am appalled at the disinterest of pastors when these things are brought to their attention.  I am appalled at the callousness of these so-called trained and qualified ministers' attitude towards the word of God.

I am putting up here only a small portion of what the NIV has done to bible.  You will find the rest at this link in a PDF file called NIVomissions.

Just look at these verse-for-verse comparisons. You decide if your church leadership has done it duty.  Do not be surprised at their dismissive attitude when you raise the issue to them, if you raise the issue to them.

What the King James Version Say:

Does NIV say the same thing?

Psalm 10:4

KJV 4 The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: ... 5 His ways are always grievous;"

NIV  "4 In his pride the wicked does not seek him; in all his thoughts there is no room for God. 5 His ways are always prosperous;"

Ecclesiastes 8:10

KJV  "And so I saw the wicked buried, who had come and gone from the place of the holy, and they were forgotten in the city"

NIV / TNIV  "Then too, I saw the wicked buried—those who used to come and go from the holy place and receive praise."

Isaiah 9:3

KJV  "Thou hast multiplied the nation, and not increased the joy..."

NIV / TNIV  "You have enlarged the nation and increased their joy;" (nothing in footnotes to explain )

Colossians 2:18

KJV 1611  "... and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen,"

NIV  "...and the worship of angels disqualify you for the prize. Such a person goes into great detail about what he has seen, "
TNIV  "...and the worship of angels disqualify you. Such people also go into great detail about what they have seen, "

Hosea 10:1

KJV  "Israel is an empty vine, he bringeth forth fruit unto himself..."

NIV  "Israel was a spreading vine;"

Hosea 11:12

KJV  "... but Judah yet ruleth with God, and is faithful with the saints."

NIV / TNIV  "And Judah is unruly against God, even against the faithful Holy One."

And now look at how NIV changes, and dilutes the meaning of the verses:

Matthew 5:22

KJV  ".That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment".

NIV “Anyone who is angry with his brother  OMIT will be subject to judgment.”

1Joh 5

KJV “For there are three that (oi=masc) bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.  And there are three that bear record in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood and these (oi=masc) three agree in one”

NIV “For there are three that testify OMIT, OMIT, OMIT,  OMIT , the Spirit, the water, and the blood; and the three are in agreement.

NIV removed the verses that show the most unequivocal support of the Trinity nature of God.

Mark 10:21

KJV “Take up the cross, and follow me”

NIV  “come, OMIT follow me”

 Matthew 17:21

KJV “This kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting

NIV This verse is totally removed

2Tim. 4:17

KJV “That the  an of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.”

NIV So that the man of God may be OMIT , thoroughly equipped for every good work.

If you did not know of the above, I don’t blame you.  How many of us have the time to read and compare bible verses?  But many of these trained ministers boast of how many versions of the bible they own, how many times they have read the bible over, and how they would check with this and that bible when they prepare a sermon.  Empty boasts or blinded minds?

The question to you is this, “Now that you know, what are you going to do about it?”  What is your attitude?  You are not an expert, and you don’t understand how bibles are translated, so you cannot care less? Is this how you treat God’s truth?  Are you not callous yourself? Do you make light the truth of God in your hands? Then you shall suffer the consequences.

It doesn’t take an expert to know something is wrong.  It is whether you care enough.

Let me give you my thought on this issue.

Admittedly, the King James Version is not for everyone.  Even those of us who speak English as our first language find some difficulty with the prose and vocabulary.  Nobody has taken the effort to come up with a faithfully-simplified version of the King James bible as yet.

  1. Is the King James translation perfect when checked against the Greek or Hebrew versions?  Of course not, but the problems are few, well-known and not serious.  It is still the best English language version we have.  On the other hand, the NIV’s problems are great. So too with the various other modern versions.  Something needs to be done.

Now, Malaysia has plenty of people who do not use English as the first language these days.  In fact, many of our Malaysians do not have a good command of any language at all.  And of this group, quite a number are most comfortable with the English language.  So these people still have to use the English bible.

This is where bibles like NIV, CEV, NLT, BBE, WEB,  etc etc which are collectively called the modern bibles come in handy.  These bibles do serve a purpose.  But this should not make us ignore the fact that these bibles have badly mangled the word of God.  So, what should we do?

Here’s what we can do:

1)                   The fact that you are reading this article means that you have access to the internet.  Just google for “NIV errors” or something like that and you will find all the details you need.  Now take this information, and make the corrections on your NIV, or modern bible.  How much time is that going to cost you?

2)                   In fact, the church leadership should make the effort on your behalf.  They would, if they are responsible enough.  But if they are irresponsible they would not, even if you prod them.  Thereby you know them for what they are.

How I wish all of us could just stop buying the modern bibles.  And in no time you will find these corrupted publishers on their knees.  But this is not going to happen as long as the organized church is callous and lazy.  The devil hates God’s truth and is going to do all he can to dilute it.  Ignorant Christians who have the diluted word cannot use this blunted sword of the Spirit against the devil effectively.

Can/Will God protect His word?  Of course God can and will.  For this reason, we still have more than 25,000 ancient manuscripts in the world that can attest to the accuracy of God’s word, and you have the King James bible as a common standard for English readers. Those who hunger for the truth will seek, and they will find it.  God’s truth is still there.  It is only lazy Christians who do not seek it, and will make do with whatever the devil has dished out.

You do what is necessary.

The unpleasant truth is that many of you have been using corrupted bibles.

Joh 8:32  And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

THE TITHING CON GAME - PART 6

What Makes You Think Malachi's Curse Has Anything To Do With You?

Pastors will any time tell you that you are under the dispensation of grace.  And this is a biblically correct point.

But at the same time, most pastors will subtly preach you back under the law with the 3 famous verses of Malachi 3:8-10.  This is not right.  You cannot be both under law and grace at the same time.

Mal 3:8  Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.  Mal 3:9  Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation.  Mal 3:10  Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

Preaching these 3 verses naturally put fear into your heart.  Who wants to rob God?  Who wants to be cursed for robbing God?   This fear causes you to try to please God with a  work of the law, ( and all this time you are supposed to be under the dispensation of grace, remember? ),  and of course, with the law comes the curse.  And so, Christians who pay tithes under the commandment of the law usually have no sense of peace because they are continually troubled by these thoughts, e.g. :

  • Have I paid enough?
  • Maybe I should have paid before tax and not after tax?
  • Maybe because I have not calculated all my other income into the tithes?,
  • Oh dear, this month I am really short of money, what will happen to me if I pay less than the 10%?
  • Is Bro Parm Leng more blessed because he has chosen to give 20% instead of 10%?
  • Should I now pay back the tithes I failed to pay in the last 5 months?
See?  They have no sense of peace - always not knowing if they have actually paid enough.  And this is because they are not paying under truth and grace, but out of fear and greed.    And worse yet, these people must always boast about their tithing and how they are blessed in order to have some consolation.  Now, I know quite a few Christian brothers who had been paying tithes faithfully for years and years, and still fell into bad times.  Do you know a few like them, too?

So what is the truth?

The truth is, you are not under law but grace and the curse of Malachi does not apply to you, and should not apply to you in the beginning.  But it now does, because you have chosen to take on a curse which was never meant for you in the first place!

Why Does The Malachi Curse Not Apply To You?

Let the word of God speak peace back into your heart:

1.      First, in Deu 27:26, Moses put the curse on any Israelite who does not obey all the law, and the Israelites accepted the challenge.

Deu 27:26  Cursed be he that confirmeth not all the words of this law to do them. And all the people shall say, Amen

  • Are you an Israelite under the law?
  • Did you also say “Amen” to the law?

Surely you didn’t, did you?  So, in the first place the law did not apply to you. It is suppose to be as foreign to you as the syariah law.

But now, you have been subtly led to follow the law with your awareness, and forsaking grace, you have learned to believe and trust in that one law - the law of tithe.  How can you get out of this mess?

So you see, Malachi has nothing to do with you in the first instant.

2.      These verses tell you clearly that the law does not apply to Christians any more, and Malachi’s curse is law! :

Gal 4:21  Tell me, ye that desire to be under the law, do ye not hear the law? ( Hey, this is speaking to you! ),

Gal 5:18  But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. ( I simply love the book of Galatians.  Why are you not being led by the Spirit? )

Gal 3:17  And this I say, that the covenant ( of grace with Abraham ), that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect. Gal 3:18  For if the inheritance be of the law, it is no more of promise: but God gave it to Abraham by promise.  ( Abraham did not have to do anything to receive God’s blessings, you are an heir of Abraham through faith! See Gal 3:29  “And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.”  )

Gal 3:19  Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; ( Has the seed come? Of course He has.  So why are they preaching you back under the law again?  Even the Jews who come to Christ do not have to observe the law.  So do you think the apostles were paying tithes in their time, and teaching others to do so? )

Gal 4:4  But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law Gal 4:5  To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. ( Do sons pay the temple tax?  See Matt 17:25-27 Peter and the Coin in the fish’s mouth )

Rom 7:6  But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter. ( Are you not following the law to the letter when you insist that 10% is the minimum? Where is your newness of spirit in the grace of Christ? )

Gal 5:14  For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. ( If you have fulfilled you car loan, do you still go on making the payments? If you have been giving in love, can there be a law against you for giving more or less? )

Heb 7:12  For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law. ( The Aaronic priesthood is no more needed.  He was a Levite to whom the compulsory tithe under law was given.  It is now the priesthood of Melchizedek,  with Jesus as the everlasting priest who receives the voluntary tithe of Abraham, not the tithe under law. )

So, why “cari sakit”? Everywhere in the New Testament you are told not to get entangled with the law again. Therefore, Malachi who was speaking them that were under the law, was proclaiming a curse on the Israelites.  That curse cannot touch you; for you are an heir of Abraham, and your curse has been taken away by Jesus.

3.      And even if you had said “Amen” to the law, these verses promise liberty for you.
Rom 3:24  Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: ( Have you been missing out on the significance of the word “ redemption “. Redeemed from what? From sin.  What is sin? Transgression of the law!!  If there is no law, there is no transgression  See 1Jn 3:4 , Rom 4:15 )

Rom 8:1  There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Rom 8:2  For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. ( So why do you continue to feel condemned, unsure and uneasiness off and on when you have been “paying” your tithes? Because you chose to walk after the flesh, not after Christ who has set you free! )

Gal 3:13  Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: (Since Christ has redeemed you, why walk back into the snare of the law? )

4.      Why do you have no sense of  peace when you pay by the law?:

Gal 2:21  I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.  Gal 5:4  Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.
Rom 3:28  Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law. ( “fallen from grace”!  This is very serious!  This does not just mean the loss of peace alone.  In my reading, it also means the loss of salvation! OK. I know you believe in the “eternal security” lie. I’ll talk of this topic in a later article. )

Gal 5:3  For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law. ( You have no sense of peace because even by faithfully “paying” your tithes { debtors pay, not give },  you are only doing one out of 613 laws; and even then you have been only paid one kind of tithe, and forgotten about the other types  )

Rom 4:15  Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression. ( So the choice is yours, has always been yours.  There cannot be transgression when one gives under grace )

Rom 11:6  And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work. ( You are supposed to be giving in grace and in love.  When you give in grace and love, you are not supposed to expect more blessings in return, 10-fold returns for your givings!  But you are expecting just that!  You are giving back to God so that you can keep God happy, and hope that He will do more for you – that’s works of the law )

Rom 7:21  I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me. (i.e. you would carry out the law with ungodly thoughts like ( just doing a duty, paying tithes in order to get more, viz. doing it out of greed, covetousness )

Gal 3:10  For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them ( see what happens when you are led back to share your blessings by law? You are cursed! )

Jas 2:10  For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. ( How can you have peace when by keeping that one law of tithe, you have forgotten to do the whole law )

5.      Why do Christians easily get misled back into the law?:

This verse seems to cause confusion both to pastors and believers.  They often interpret this to mean that the law continues to be in force:

Rom 3:31  Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.

This misinterpretation has caused them to preach grace and law at the same time, and be unable to explain the dilemma of the doctrinal contradiction.  The New Testament, as we have clearly seen from the above, tells us the law is no longer in force.

What this verse simply means that by doing things through love and grace, the end( the intention, the objective) of law is being achieved meaningfully!  This correct understanding immediately frees the Christian from the bondage of doubts created from the law.   It doesn’t mean we must continue to carry out the demands of the law as an activity.

6.      How will pastors live if we do not tithe?:
The bible says that we must ensure the workers of the gospel always have enough to eat.

1Co 9:9  For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen?

The problem that arises this days is the ox wants more than it can eat!  I have heard of a pastor in the Kuala Lumpur area who wants to play golf so that he can reach out to the rich.  Well, hmmm.  Very telling, isn’t it.

7.      What else is not right about the preaching of the Malachi verses to Christians?
Observe these:
a)     Chapter 1 tells you Malachi was sent to speak to Israel, not Christians,

Mal 1:1  The burden of the word of the LORD to Israel by Malachi
.
The message is this:  God was reminding Israel how He loved Israel more than Edom, yet Israel does not love him back. Why does Israel not honor God, as animals  They were not showing respect to God.  This has nothing to do with you.

b)     Chapter 2 tells you that the priests were the offenders, not you:

Mal 2:1  And now, O ye priests, this commandment is for you.

The Lord was scolding the priest for dereliction of duty, causing people to stumble instead of teaching what is right ( reminds of what the pastors today are doing ).  Then the Lord was scolding the Israelites for marrying foreign wives, and divorcing their wives ( reminds me of the Christians today who divorce for every type of reason ).

c)     Chapter 3 tells you of God’s prophecy that He is sending a servant to restore everything to what it was before.

Mal 3:1  Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the LORD of hosts

Here, notice the Lord was telling the Israelites to return to Him and honor him.  Notice that the Israelites deny dishonoring God, and in response God told them to look at how they are already cursed for not bringing the Lord His tithes and offering.

This is where you have failed to read the message properly and allowed yourselves to be misled:

" But ye said, Wherein shall we return?
Mal 3:8  Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.  Mal 3:9  Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation.  Mal 3:10  Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

a)     As explained, the Israelites said “amen” to the curses that will come on them if they do not obey the law.  They did not.  And they had already been cursed by God by this time.  So they were not asked to tithe for future blessings.  They were asked to tithe in order to get back their blessings which had been stopped.
b)     Observe that “Bring the whole tithe to my storehouse” indicates:
                                                              i.      The tithes were not money.  Money is not stored in storehouses.  Money is stored in treasury rooms.
ii.      Where was the storehouse?  It was in the temple.  Where is the temple today?  Your body is the temple of God. So where is storehouse today?  It is surely not the church.
iii.      “Test me in this” does not refer to new and future blessings.  It refers to blessings that was stopped because God had already closed the windows of heaven.

And so you see how easily scriptures are twisted and misinterpreted to suit unholy motives.  And you should see how you, in your covetousness for future blessings, allowed yourselves to be misled.  You are all children of Abraham through faith.  When did God ever shut off your blessings through Abraham?

Conclusion
The bible is clear.  You either choose grace or law.  You cannot be under both.  The preacher cannot preach application of both at the same time.

Your greed has allow you to be led into the snare of the law.  Get out of it now.

Do not muzzle the ox that tread the mill.  Continue to give to make sure that your pastor and his family do not suffer from lack.  If he can teach and act as elder at the same time, the bible says he is worth double.

But do not tithe under the system of Moses’ law.  Malachi’s curse has nothing to do with you.

That’s the unpleasant truth – you have been lazy to read the scriptures.

Joh 8:32  And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

THE TITHING CON GAME - PART 5

The Jews Today Do Not Tithe!

Here is an exchange of email between a Robert K. Sanders and the Jewish Rabbi Reuven Lauffer on whether Jews today pay tithes.  It came from his website at:

http://www.truthorfables.com/Tithing.htm

This is the second piece of evidence that I am presenting to you as to whether Jews today are still paying tithes.  The first evidence is in Part 1 in the form of a hyperlink to Rabbi Simmon's website.

====================================

Robert Sander's Email To The Rabbi:

From: "Robert K. Sanders" rksanders@comcast.net  form_message: Does God now require Jews to pay tithe according to the  Levitical system, as there are no longer a Temple and Levite priests to care for it? How are the Rabbis paid for their work? Were all excluded from paying tithe except those in agriculture and animal husbandry?

The Rabbi's Reply To Robert Sanders:

Dear Robert,
There is no longer an obligation to support the Levites and Priests as they are no longer working in the Temple. Rabbis are normally supported by the contributions of their congregants through their Synagogue membership.

In general regular charity is a commandment that is incumbent on everyone and it teaches us the very important lesson that the money we control has been entrusted to us by G-d. One should not make the mistaken assumption that if a person works for his money then he has "earned" it and it belongs to him without any preconditions. Rather, whatever money we have has been granted to us by G-d and we must prove ourselves worthy of being the recipients of it. Therefore, we take some of our "hard earned cash" and give it to those that are less fortunate then ourselves.

Best regards from Jerusalem,

Rabbi Reuven Lauffer

==========================================

What shall we say then? We say what the bible, not what man says, and that is:

2Co 9:7  So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.

Shall we not say "Amen" to that?

No Eating of Blood and No Blood Transfusion - Unbiblical Christianity

THE ISSUE OF EATING OF BLOOD

Some Christians ( maybe most?) in Malaysia don’t eat blood food. The Jehovah Witnesses ( a cult pretending to be more Christian than Christians ) ban blood transfusion.  But pastors in Thailand and Cambodia happily tuck in animal entrails dipped in fresh warm blood. ......

First, the Noah Argument.  If the argument that "anything that is done before the Law of Moses must continue to be observed by New Testament Christians today" is to be valid, then the following must also be continued:

1)  Christians MUST be circumcised after the example of Abraham,
2)  If my elder brother dies without leaving any heir, I must now marry my widowed sister-in-law ( irrespective than I am already married ), and have sex with her in order to produce an heir for my dead brother.

So now, which church elder, pastor or reverend is prepared to declare to the congregation that every male must be circumcised? ......

And, will you also marry me to my widowed sister-in-law over the protestations of my wife, so that I can give an heir to my dead brother?  No?   Why?  READ MORE.....

Demonic Symbols - Unbiblical Christianity

“Brother, why keep this satanic thing in your house?  Your house is a holy house.  Why open yourself to spiritual attacks? Don’t you know the bible says that the serpent is the dragon, satan? .....

.... And in the instances where a person newly converts, his church leadership would come to his house to destroy the altar and the statues of idols.  This is the time they go on a rampage destroying every vase, picture and even furniture or antique article with any symbol of the snake, dragon, phoenix...

.... Since I must throw away the carving of the snake, mustn't I also take out all pictures of snakes from inside books and encyclopedias?  No? What logic is that?

2)      Since you say we must not have occultic symbols in the house, why are you bringing in the horoscope signs together with the newspaper into your house everyday? .... READ MORE

Concerning Temples and Food Offered to Idols - Unbiblical Christianity

1.  IRRATIONAL FEAR OF TEMPLES AND THE PLACES OF WORSHIP OF OTHERS

......a very good friend of mine – someone who I considered as a mentor then, with more than 40 years of Christianity in him one day told me something to this effect:

“Brother, let me give you some good advice.  Try not to pass by that big temple around Petaling Street area when you come to Petaling Jaya.  Avoid it if you can.  Before you became a Christian, you were in the other side of the supernatural world.  Now that you are in Christ, you are on the side of light – you are their enemies.  And if you are not careful, the spirits in the temple will attack you.”  Read more .....

2.  CAN CHRISTIANS EAT FOOD THAT HAS BEEN OFFERED TO IDOLS?

Have the teachers of this unbiblical taboo ever eaten Muslim halal food themselves?  Out of their own mouths have they condemned themselves!  One of the chief conditions of the halal label is that the animal must be slaughtered after certain prayer rituals.  Every piece of halal slaughtered meat has been prayed over, including your frozen Christmas turkey, KFC,  Read more .....

THE ALLAH CONTROVERSY

2 Allahs – But The Same God?

Can the pig know it is dirty?

I think by now, most Malaysians already know how silly the government is for making an issue out of the word Allah. I just wonder if those in the government feel as stupid for themselves.  But I guess a dirty pig that grew up in the dirty mud pool would never realize what the meaning of being dirty is.  I suppose when one is used to being in a supportive circle of stupid associate, one is not in a position to see stupidity for what it is.

But for me, there is a good side to this ruckus being raised.  It caused me to start investigating into something that I would otherwise have taken for granted, and that is, “Does “Allah” really refer to the one and same God?”

Let’s say I happen to meet 2 young children. Both say “My father is Ishmil”.   Does it automatically means that it is the same Ishmil?  Here is where we must consider the characteristics of Ishmil as described by the children themselves.  And so, the little girl says “My father is a very fair and tall and man. His hair is black and he is soft spoken, loving, hates pornography and violence”.  But the young boy says “My father Ishmil is a short man, stout and very muscular.  He hair is white.  He has a loud voice and is always shouting.  He beats me and my mother all the time, drinks and love to read dirty comics”.  Are they speaking of the same Ishmil?  I would think not. I think we have 2 Ishmils here.

I first note that the Koran made this claim in chapter 29:46, which says that the Muslim god and Jewish and Christian God are the same one..

“Do not argue with the people of the scripture except in the nicest possible manner - unless they transgress - and say, "We believe in what was revealed to us and in what was revealed to you, and our god and your god is one and the same;  to Him we are submitters."

( All Koran verses are taken from http://www.submission.org ).

Now, you will not find any agreement to this Surah in the bible.  It is a one-sided claim.  But at the same time, I have read of people like the Roman Catholic pope, Rick Warren, Paul Cho Yonggi agreeing that the Muslim Allah is actually also the Christian Yahweh ( just google for their names with the word Allah ).

So I got curious  I need to know whether this is true.  And when you need to know the truth, you search and seek.  You don't sit down and meditate on what you have been spoon-fed by your pastors.

What I found out, I detail below below for you.  These are the characteristics of the 2 Allahs. You make the final conclusion for yourself if we are talking about the same Allah after all.

Christian Allah's Teachings
Muslim Allah's Teachings

You must love your wife and she should submit to you

The men are made responsible for the women, …. If you experience rebellion from the women, you shall first talk to them, then deserting them in bed, then you may beat them. If they obey you, you are not permitted to transgress against them. GOD is Most High, Supreme. (Surah 4:34 )

Hates divorce ( Malachi 2:16) , allows divorce only in the event of adultery ( Matthew 19:9 )

Does not encourage it (Surah 4:35, 65:2 ), but allows divorce for any reason ( Common knowledge )

Leaders can only have only one wife  ( 1Timothy 3:2, 3:12, Titus 3:16)

Any can marry up to four wives, and anybody with 4 wives can still be a leader ( Common knowledge )

Loves sinners, hate the sin ( John 3:16 – 18 )

GOD condemns usury, and blesses charities. GOD dislikes every disbeliever, guilty. (Surah 2:276)

Proclaim: "You shall obey GOD and the messenger." If they turn away, GOD does not love the disbelievers, (Surah 3:32 )

Once a divorced woman remarries another man, she may not remarry the previous husband.  ( Deuteronomy 24:1-4 )

If he divorces her it is unlawful for him to remarry her, unless she marries another man, then he divorces her. The first husband can then remarry her, so long as they observe GOD's laws. (Surah 2:230 )

Definitely forgives all who confess their sins and repent before Him ( 1John 1: 9)

Not believer is sure that he will be definitely be forgiven, even sincere believers will have to depend on the weight of good and bad deeds ( Koran 7: 8-9, 23:102-103).  Everyone, including Muslims must enter hell first anyway (Surah 19:70-72) and forgiveness depends on Allah’s mercy

Came into this world, took on the form of man, and died for sins of man and ascended to heaven

No such thing ever happened

Any form of lying is not allowed ( Rev 21:8 )

Various forms of deception and lying is allowed (Surah 3:28, 16:106, 66:2 etc)

“takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked” (Ezekiel 33:11)

Therefore, roam the earth freely for four months, and know that you cannot escape from GOD, and that GOD humiliates the disbelievers ( Surah 9:2 )

The list is actually much longer than the above.  I just want to keep this short, so I cut them out.

Now, I see two totally contradictory natures.  Can the 2 Allahs be the same one Allah?

In this connection, I understand that many educated and wise Malaysians also like to say that “Why quarrel over religion?  All religions are the same.”  We are not quarreling here.  We are just doing some comparisons to support personal decision-making.  And in making the comparison, we merely ask “How can 2 things so contrasting and contradictory be the same thing?”  Maybe they are not so wise after all, huh?

Someone might say “Why do you want to highlight the differences?  You should highlight the similarities, because similarities unite”.  To this I reply “Protestants drowned Protestants, Roman Catholic burned Protestants, Muslims kill Muslims over doctrines, Buddhist country shoot at Buddhist country over a temple”.  What say you now to the “similarities unite” idea?  We like to parrot wise cliches without thinking, thinking that is a smart thing to do.

In life, we make choices. Choices are always based on discerning the differences.  Do I choose a Nikon camera over an Olympus because Nikon has 20% similarity to Olympus, or will I look for differences?  Or do you just choose a camera as long as it can take pictures? That would be nonsensical.  Do I vote  between 2 political parties because of the similarities of one to the other?  That’s nonsensical, too.  Of course I look for the differences, and I make my decision based on what I think I like more.

So I conclude.  Maybe it is better to admit that the 2 Allahs are not the same after all.  But Rick Warren doesn't know it. The Pope doesn't know it, and Paul Cho Yonggi doesn't know it either.
Now if you would just accepted this truth, then there is no more confusion.  And then, you can decide for yourself which Allah is the right one for you according to your own likes and dislikes, or your value system.  For example, if you want to be practical and have authority to beat your wife into submission and have peace in the family, you know which Allah to choose.

And should Christians do away with the term “Allah”? Personally I would, if I had a choice.  But I don’t.  For one, the government’s education policy turned me and my children into Malay language educated people.  Many Malaysians have a better command of the Malay language than any other.  So we need to read the bible in the Malay Language. For another,  the Malay language bibles and Christian books had to be imported from Indonesia, and these publications have always been using the term Allah for the English word God.  In fact, I was told that Munshi Abdullah translated the first New Testament into the Malay language, and he also used the word Allah.  And finally, it is already common knowledge to Malaysians and the whole world that Allah is not an original Malay word, nor the original word for God in Arabic.  Apparently it is an English corruption of the Arabic word al-ilah.  Allah is found even in the English dictionaries.  So what nonsense is this government spewing.  But when you are an extremist you wouldn’t want to reason.

The unpleasant truth is "You have not been checking".
Joh 8:32  And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
