Rick Warren does not read the bible.  He does not know that God clearly condemns the perverted act of sodomy, as seen in the record of Lot, Sodom and Gomorrah, or these verses:

• 1Co 6:9  Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites,
  1Co 6:10  nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.

But it also appears the entire institutionalized church system has been so compromised by the "judge not" preaching, that few are willing to speak out against false teachers and church preachers like him, whose public stand against scripturally-condemned sins can at best be called ambivalent.  Many churches are in fact still in the blur, like the Chinese language service of the Full Gospel Assembly which I attend.  The Chinese Church still promotes the books of Rick Warren on the projector screen week in week out!  That goes to show that the church leaders and pastors are "blur blur".

Should we promote the books of a man who does not dare to speak out against homosexuality?             

We can be sure that Rick Warren is not ignorant of these bible verses.

• Gal 5:19  Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,  Gal 5:20  Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,Gal 5:21  Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. 
•  Eph 5:5  For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Eph 5:6  Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience
• Rev 21:8  But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. 

It is just too inconvenient for him to stand by them.  He is afraid of being condemned by his own "politically-correct" congregation, and fears losing members! You see, in USA and the West, church and Christianity is not about being saved and living a holy life for God after that.  It is a membership business.

Has Malaysian churches also caught on with the "membership numbers first" game?  Has Malaysia become so politically-correct about sexual perversion as well?  For a fact, we are surely moving in that direction, for Malaysians are of "everything USA do must be correct, so we follow" mindset ( just look at how we ape the TV programs, fashionwear etc ).  But for now, we should still be some distance off from USA on this matter, so why can't Malaysian churches stand up for God's standards as these Ugandan pastors?  Are Malaysian churches all sleeping, or too compromised with false teachings and being politcally-correct to dare to speak out, like people in glass houses do not throw stones?  Here, read this for yourself.  I had circulated it to my home cell members some time ago:

Uganda Pastors Chide Rick Warren; Defend Anti-Gay Bill

Pastors in Uganda recently chided evangelical pastor Rick Warren after he urged them to speak out against the country's Anti-Homosexuality bill.

A group of 20 denominational heads recently formed the Uganda National Pastors Task Force Against Homosexuality and demanded that Warren "biblically issue an apology for having wronged us."

"Your letter has caused great distress and the pastors are demanding that you issue a formal apology for insulting the people of Africa by your very inapropriate (sic) bully use of your church and purpose driven pulpits to coerse us into the 'evil' of Sodomy and Gaymorrah (sic)," the pastors, which include Martin Ssempa, state in a letter emailed to Warren.

They also note, "As you yourself have said, '..the Bible says evil has to be opposed. Evil has to be stopped. The Bible does not say negotiate with evil. It says stop it. Stop evil'. (12/2007) Since homosexuality is evil, you cannot possibly be against a law that seeks to stop it unless you have misunderstood it."

Warren, who works with pastors in Uganda on the "Purpose Driven" campaign and P.E.A.C.E. Plan, had addressed Ugandan pastors in a video earlier this month. He condemned the criminalization of homosexuality, particularly the death penalty as proposed in Uganda's proposed legislation, and called it unjust and un-Christian.

The Purpose Driven pastor was among a number of U.S. religious leaders who expressed opposition and concern over the bill.

But Ugandan pastors state in their letter to Warren that the bill has been "greatly misrepresented by some homosexual activists causing hysteria."

They stress that the proposed death penalty applies only in special cases termed "aggravated homosexuality," which include those convicted of unlawful homosexual rape of a child or handicapped invalid.

"This is a conviction of paedophilles!" they exclaim, noting that the country has for 15 years had a death penalty in place for those who sexually abuse a girl under the age of 18 years. The proposed measure simply extends the protection to boys, they say.

Attempting to clarify what they believe is misinformation regarding the Anti-Homosexuality bill, the pastors task force says the proposed requirement that people report offenses of homosexuality was included because of high levels of unreported heterosexual/homosexual rape and harassment especially in single-sex schools. School officials and some police officers "maintain a conspiracy of silence" and ignore the pleas of the children and victims who report such crimes, the task force points out.

Many, including Warren, had criticized the bill for placing "everybody" at risk – including parents, teachers, landlords, doctors, media and religious leaders who provide counseling to someone struggling with their sexuality, work with those infected with HIV/AIDS, or do not report an offense within 24 hours of knowledge.

Warren believes it would hurt the church ministry of caring for people with HIV/AIDS. Out of fear of being reported, those infected would be reluctant to seek care or comfort from churches, the southern California pastor pointed out.

Homosexuality is already illegal in Uganda and can be punished with life imprisonment. But the anti-homosexuality legislation was designed to "fill the gaps" in the provisions of existing laws and "strengthen the nation's capacity to deal with emerging internal and external threats to the traditional heterosexual family."

And so the Lord says in John 8:32 " And ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free"

The name of Rick Warren is like a sacred cow in many churches and amongst many Christians. What a cow!

The bible tells us to beware of false teachers.  There are numerous warnings given both by Jesus Himself, and the apostles.  But the leaders of institutionalized church are too afraid to offend; too afraid to speak out against untruths, for they fear man more than God.  Many churches are of course still sleeping, although their pastors off-and-on would wake up to preach to their congregation to stay awake.  After the sermon, the pastor then goes back to sleep.  And so, we have churches (e.g. FGA Chinese service ) still promoting Rick Warren books, Christian libraries stocking them up, and Christian book shops happily keeping them in stock since the pastors are still promoting them.  Wakey! Wakey!

Now, do you know that Rick Warren worships the Muslim god?  If he does not, why should he be seeking forgiveness from the "All-Merciful One and of the Muslim community around the world."?

Rick Warren is also known to be associated with and supports the new religion of "Chrislam" .  He has denied that he has embraced it, yet he has never denied his act of seeking forgiveness from the Muslim god, nor has he withdrawn his signature from the document below.

A Christian Response to "A Common Word Between Us and You"

In the name of the Infinitely Good God whom we should love with all our Being

Preamble

As members of the worldwide Christian community, we were deeply encouraged and challenged by the recent historic open letter signed by 138 leading Muslim scholars, clerics, and intellectuals from around the world. A Common Word Between Us and You identifies some core common ground between Christianity and Islam which lies at the heart of our respective faiths as well as at the heart of the most ancient Abrahamic faith, Judaism. Jesus Christ’s call to love God and neighbor was rooted in the divine revelation to the people of Israel embodied in the Torah (Deuteronomy 6:5; Leviticus 19:18). We receive the open letter as a Muslim hand of conviviality and cooperation extended to Christians worldwide. In this response we extend our own Christian hand in return, so that together with all other human beings we may live in peace and justice as we seek to love God and our neighbors.

Muslims and Christians have not always shaken hands in friendship; their relations have sometimes been tense, even characterized by outright hostility. Since Jesus Christ says, “First take the log out your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your neighbor’s eye” (Matthew 7:5), we want to begin by acknowledging that in the past (e.g. in the Crusades) and in the present (e.g. in excesses of the “war on terror”) many Christians have been guilty of sinning against our Muslim neighbors. Before we “shake your hand” in responding to your letter, we ask forgiveness of the All-Merciful One and of the Muslim community around the world.

To date, this document has over 600 voluntary signatories.  We see ordinary people and professors in the list.  That's understandable. They do not know the scriptures and do not know God.

But Rick Warren is one of them too, together with David Cho Yonggi, ( just press 'ctrl F' to search for their names ) and a host of Reverends and pastors from the Lutheran, United Methodist, Presbyterian and what-have-you churches.  These people know the Word.  They teach the Word, and exhort others.  And yet they know not? ..... any Muslim will tell you their god is not Jesus Christ.  So from which god are they people seeking forgiveness?

Discernment?  Do "church leaders" necessarily have the discernment that we so often hear them speak about and pray for?  Can you imagine David Cho Yonggi and Rick Warren leading their congregation into praying to any other god other than Jesus for forgiveness?  Do they not know that Muslims deny that Jesus is God?

The bible does say:

2Pe 2:1  But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

And Jesus said in John 8:32 "And ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free"

Can the pig know it is dirty?

 I think by now, most Malaysians already know how silly the government is for making an issue out of the word Allah. I just wonder if those in the government feel as stupid for themselves.  But I guess a dirty pig that grew up in the dirty mud pool would never realize what the meaning of being dirty is.  I suppose when one is used to being in a supportive circle of stupid associate, one is not in a position to see stupidity for what it is.

But for me, there is a good side to this ruckus being raised.  It caused me to start investigating into something that I would otherwise have taken for granted, and that is, “Does “Allah” really refer to the one and same God?”

 

Let’s say I happen to meet 2 young children. Both say “My father is Ishmil”.   Does it automatically means that it is the same Ishmil?  Here is where we must consider the characteristics of Ishmil as described by the children themselves.  And so, the little girl says “My father is a very fair and tall and man. His hair is black and he is soft spoken, loving, hates pornography and violence”.  But the young boy says “My father Ishmil is a short man, stout and very muscular.  He hair is white.  He has a loud voice and is always shouting.  He beats me and my mother all the time, drinks and love to read dirty comics”.  Are they speaking of the same Ishmil?  I would think not. I think we have 2 Ishmils here.

I first note that the Koran made this claim in chapter 29:46, which says that the Muslim god and Jewish and Christian God are the same one..

“Do not argue with the people of the scripture except in the nicest possible manner - unless they transgress - and say, "We believe in what was revealed to us and in what was revealed to you, and our god and your god is one and the same;  to Him we are submitters."

Now, you will not find any agreement to this Surah in the bible.  It is a one-sided claim.  But at the same time, I have read of people like the Roman Catholic pope, Rick Warren, Paul Cho Yonggi agreeing that the Muslim Allah is actually also the Christian Yahweh ( just google for their names with the word Allah ).

So I got curious  I need to know whether this is true.  And when you need to know the truth, you search and seek.  You don't sit down and meditate on what you have been spoon-fed by your pastors.

What I found out, I detail below below for you.  These are the characteristics of the 2 Allahs. You make the final conclusion for yourself if we are talking about the same Allah after all.

If you experience rebellion from the women, you shall first talk to them, then deserting them in bed, then you may beat them. If they obey you, you are not permitted to transgress against them. Hates divorce ( Malachi 2:16) , allows divorce only in the event of adultery ( Matthew 19:9 )	Does not encourage it (Surah 4:35, 65:2 ), but allows divorce for any reason ( Common knowledge )

Once a divorced woman remarries another man, she may not remarry the previous husband.  ( Deuteronomy 24:1-4 )	If he divorces her it is unlawful for him to remarry her, unless she marries another man, then he divorces her. The first husband can then remarry her, so long as they observe GOD's laws. (Surah 2:230 )
Definitely forgives all who confess their sins and repent before Him ( 1John 1: 9)	Not believer is sure that he will be definitely be forgiven, even sincere believers will have to depend on the weight of good and bad deeds ( Koran 7: 8-9, 23:102-103).  Everyone, including Muslims must enter hell first anyway (Surah 19:70-72) and forgiveness depends on Allah’s mercy
Came into this world, took on the form of man, and died for sins of man and ascended to heaven	No such thing ever happened
Any form of lying is not allowed ( Rev 21:8 )	Various forms of deception and lying is allowed (Surah 3:28, 16:106, 66:2 etc)
“takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked” (Ezekiel 33:11)	Therefore, roam the earth freely for four months, and know that you cannot escape from GOD, and that GOD humiliates the disbelievers ( Surah 9:2 )

The list is actually much longer than the above.  I just want to keep this short, so I cut them out.

Now, I see two totally contradictory natures.  Can the 2 Allahs be the same one Allah?

In this connection, I understand that many educated and wise Malaysians also like to say that “Why quarrel over religion?  All religions are the same.”  We are not quarreling here.  We are just doing some comparisons to support personal decision-making.  And in making the comparison, we merely ask “How can 2 things so contrasting and contradictory be the same thing?”  Maybe they are not so wise after all, huh?

Someone might say “Why do you want to highlight the differences?  You should highlight the similarities, because similarities unite”.  To this I reply “Protestants drowned Protestants, Roman Catholic burned Protestants, Muslims kill Muslims over doctrines, Buddhist country shoot at Buddhist country over a temple”.  What say you now to the “similarities unite” idea?  We like to parrot wise cliches without thinking, thinking that is a smart thing to do.

In life, we make choices. Choices are always based on discerning the differences.  Do I choose a Nikon camera over an Olympus because Nikon has 20% similarity to Olympus, or will I look for differences?  Or do you just choose a camera as long as it can take pictures? That would be nonsensical.  Do I vote  between 2 political parties because of the similarities of one to the other?  That’s nonsensical, too.  Of course I look for the differences, and I make my decision based on what I think I like more.

So I conclude.  Maybe it is better to admit that the 2 Allahs are not the same after all.  But Rick Warren doesn't know it. The Pope doesn't know it, and Paul Cho Yonggi doesn't know it either.
Now if you would just accepted this truth, then there is no more confusion.  And then, you can decide for yourself which Allah is the right one for you according to your own likes and dislikes, or your value system.  For example, if you want to be practical and have authority to beat your wife into submission and have peace in the family, you know which Allah to choose.

And should Christians do away with the term “Allah”? Personally I would, if I had a choice.  But I don’t.  For one, the government’s education policy turned me and my children into Malay language educated people.  Many Malaysians have a better command of the Malay language than any other.  So we need to read the bible in the Malay Language. For another,  the Malay language bibles and Christian books had to be imported from Indonesia, and these publications have always been using the term Allah for the English word God.  In fact, I was told that Munshi Abdullah translated the first New Testament into the Malay language, and he also used the word Allah.  And finally, it is already common knowledge to Malaysians and the whole world that Allah is not an original Malay word, nor the original word for God in Arabic.  Apparently it is an English corruption of the Arabic word al-ilah.  Allah is found even in the English dictionaries.  So what nonsense is this government spewing.  But when you are an extremist you wouldn’t want to reason.
 

The unpleasant truth is "You have not been checking".
